New bug house at Fort View!

Today baby Mama Bear explorers went on a bug hunt in their garden at Fort View. They found a millipede so moved it into their newly made bug house which the nursery had won by growing the tallest sunflower as part of Mama Bear's sunny sunflower growing competition. Then they investigated a bug hotel which was made out of old pallets and crates.

Children also found a slimy snail as well as many other creepy crawlies. They topped the hotel up with extra soil and leaves to make it extra cosy for the bugs this autumn and then came inside to wash all the dirt, snail slime and germs off of their hands ready for some yummy lunch.

Bug hunting helps to encourage our little ones understanding of the world as they explore all the creatures that live within it.
