Formerly known as 'Jelly Babies' this lovely purpose-built setting becomes a Mama Bear's Day Nursery on 1st September 2026. An extensive expansion and investment programme is planned for Autumn and Winter 2026, with the new facilities opening with expanded baby and toddler facilities and a brand new pre-school and outdoor play area in April 2027.
We're registering interest now for immediate starters (Autimn 2026) as well as cohorts for the Spring and Summer 2027 terms.
Meet our Nursery Manager: Suzie
Hi I’m Suzie! I am the Nursery Manager of the newest Mama Bears setting, based at Coastland College, Cranford Avenue. Previously known as Jelly Babies Day Nursery, I have been the Manager of this lovely little setting for over 3 years. Having worked in various settings around Weymouth, from practitioner to management, and within Children’s Services at Dorset Council, I bring to my role valuable knowledge and experience that has been shared with all my dedicated staffing team. Outside of my work, I love to enjoy special experiences with my own children! I particularly love being in nature and enjoy exploring different areas of our local community with our family dog and begrudging husband. I also have a passion for dancing and enjoy attending a range of dance classes with several members of the Mama Bears Team! At Cranford Avenue, we are passionate in providing a safe, fun and nurturing environment for all our families and children and I continually strive to work alongside our amazing team to consistently grow and improve our standards of excellent care. We thrive on building strong relationships with our parents and our supportive network of colleagues, professionals and parents ensure that all our families feel like they belong to our setting. We look forward to welcoming you as we begin our beautiful journey, expanding our buildings into a brand new, dedicated early years setting where every child can thrive!
