Today our pre-school children at Fort View have taken part in a very cool science experiment; making their very own fresh butter! They poured whipping cream into a glass jar and then everyone took turns shaking the jar really fast to try and separate the liquid in the cream from the solid matter. We needed very strong muscles and a final frantic shake from Nursery Manager Emma. This did the trick and a lovely yellow butter was created. We poured away the liquid and then poured out the butter, then all took turns spreading some onto a piece of bread to taste. It was very yummy and everyone enjoyed the experiment!
