Every week, babies will be learning a new Makaton sign in our Great Parks nursery.

Just outside the door of baby room is a blue board where parents can pick up a copy of the weekly Makaton sign and instructions on how you can do the sign at home with your child.

Since staff have been doing Makaton with the babies, they have noticed the children doing the signs around the nursery.

Did you know -- learning Makaton will improve a child’s language and help the non-speaking children to communicate.

This week, children are learning the Makaton sign for bird as they have seen some birds in the garden.
