Mama Bear’s Day Nursery is currently recruiting for a 1:1 SEN Support Worker to join our setting in Bristol. We expect this role to be a 12 month contract but could end sooner depending on funding.
The post is to work as a designated 1:1 member of staff supporting individual children within the setting who need SEN support. Whilst you are responsible for working on a 1:1 basis with specific children, at times you will also be required to work as part of a team and with other children in the environment supporting the staff team where required.
You will work with the Team Leader, SENCO and child's key person in ensuring all planning is effective for the child and that relevant documentation is completed, evaluated and shared as appropriate with multi agency professionals. You will also be aware of and comply with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant SEN/D policies, processes, and legislation.
The ideal Candidate will hold a Full and Relevant Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification but this is not essential for this role. Ideally, you will also have experience of working with children with SEN needs or have experience of working in a similar role.

This 80-place setting has a fantastic environment for our babies, toddlers and pre-school children, but also for our staff. The ground floor is divided into three nursery room catering for the different age-groups with connecting door to encourage free-flow, the nursery office and access to the garden areas.
Downstairs there is a large, well-equipped staff room, meeting room, soft play area, storage area, nursery kitchen and office space.
The nursery itself is located between the Wells Road (A37) and Bath Road (A4), which are key service routes for public transport. Temple Meads train station is within walking distance. There is a small supermarket, café and a gym within a minute’s walk of the nursery.
