A new junior football team in North Bristol is celebrating after securing its first sponsorship from us! 

The Almondsbury FC under-8s team was set up in September by local man Stuart Laurence and has grown to 36 players since the first training session was launched.

Sponsorship from Mama Bear’s means the team will receive all new kits and much-needed pop-up goal posts can be purchased.

Stuart, an FA Level 2 coach, said: “The response to the team has been phenomenal so far and now having professional sponsorship will give us even more credence and room to grow.

“At the first training session we didn’t know whether anyone would even turn up but we were inundated and had 21 children taking part. That number has since grown to almost 40 and we’re still getting interest which goes to show how much a community team like this was needed in the area.

“Having Mama Bear’s support and sponsorship means we can continue towards growing the team and making it as fun as possible for the children while developing their football and teamwork skills.

“We will be getting new shirts with the Mama Bear’s logo as well as hoodies and jackets for the coaches and we’ll also be investing in some new pop-up goals which will be a great help.

“I have personal knowledge of Mama Bear’s as my daughter attends the nursery at Bailey’s Court in Bradley Stoke and loves it. We’d like to say a huge thank you to the business for supporting us; it really means a lot.”
