We have been making multicultural music in our pre-school room at Fort View!

Our pre-school children got to discover unusual instruments from around the world and what they sounded like as part of a knowledge and understanding activity.

The children made up their own rhythms and discussed the different sounds, shapes, and textures of what they were using. They used different sized shakers from Malawi in Africa. A large drum made out of hide from native America and tuning forks bought here in the UK.
